This trip will give an opportunity to see the entire island around in one day! In the beginning of the trip we will visit the valley of butterflies and climb to the top of the medieval fortress of the knights of Ionites. You will be at the foot of the highest mountain of the island, Attaviros, visiting the village of Embona, where you will be warmly welcomed by the locals, giving you the opportunity to taste Rhodes wines and Greek cuisine. Our trip will end with a swim in the southernmost part of the island of Prasonisi, which will enhance the impressions received during this excursion!

Attention! From 15/06 and till 15/09 we visit the Valley of Butterflies instead of Kamiros.

VALLEY OF THE BUTTERFLIES [HIGH SEASON]
First stop will be in butterfly valley, which situates in Pelikanos Gorge. From the middle of June until the end of September this nature preserve become habitat for rarest kind of butterflies – Quadripunctaria Poda. Fragrance of stiraks trees tar, numerous brooks which meet in a waterfall and pebbles paved paths, small bridges lying across the brooks create the image of one more heavenly place of Rhodes island.

KAMIROS [LOW SEASON]
Our tour starts from the west coast, and our first stop will be one of the Ancient city-states of Kamiros, which was excavated just at the beginning of the 20th century. The uniqueness of this site lies in the fact that the city is so well preserved that, accompanied by the fascinating story of our professional guide, you will have a clear idea of ​​the origin and history of this lost city. In addition, you can walk along its streets till the Acropolis, and discover the origins of democratic government, the features of places of worship and their place in the life of the ancient Greeks.

CASTLE OF KRITINIA
After leaving Valley of Butterflies we are plunging in the Middle Ages epoch, when in 14th century the island was at the mercy of the Order of St. John the Baptist. As a protection of the coastal line one of the castles of Kritinia was constructed. During the stop you can go up to the top of this castle where tremendous view to the other Aegean islands opens. Here, during free time, you can try freshly squeezed juices and traditional products of the local people. On the way from Kritinia you will enjoy the view to the mountain-mass with its highest pick – Attaviros.

EMBONA
The village Embona, the “wine center” of Rhodes is located at the base of Attaviros Mountain. Every year the local wine-makers win prize-places in various international contests. You will have an opportunity to taste the best wines of Rhodes and not only! Olive oil and fragrant honey degustation will be the “sweet” culmination of this stop. After that we will have a lunch. It is included in the excursion price and consists of the best traditional specialties of Rhodes baked in oven and on grill and exclusively from the fresh home-made products.

PRASONISI
Then we will follow to the southern point of the island. It will give you time for rest before new upcoming adventures. This place is in the “must list” of everyone who comes to Rhodes. The image of “two seas kiss” admires! The tourists come here not only to have a look but also for sport activities – this is the beloved place for wind- and kite surfers.

Pick-up and drop-off at hotel entrances or meeting points are within a short walking distance. Confirmation of the exact departure time will be received the evening before the tour.

  • What to bring with you: comfortable shoes, head covering, swimwear, sun protection cream, water, photo camera, money for souvenirs and traditional products.
  • Infants must sit with their parents on the bus and will not have their own seats.
